【CYLA 2026 Program Update】

A note about CYLA 2026.

We had been preparing to hold CYLA this summer. However, due to venue availability, we are unable to move forward with the program as originally planned.

While this is a difficult adjustment, the conversations we have had with families, students, and members of our community have also helped us recognize a new direction worth developing.

WCEO is currently preparing a new training experience designed especially for those who have already been part of our community, including former campers, TAs, team leaders, and program participants. This new program will focus on leadership growth, cultural connection, and continued engagement within the WCEO community.

More details will be announced soon.

關於 CYLA 2026，我們想與大家分享一項重要更新。

今年夏天，我們原本期待能如期舉辦 CYLA 訓練。然而，因場地安排未能順利確認，CYLA 2026 將無法依照原訂規劃舉行。這是一個不容易的決定，但在這段期間，我們也透過與許多家庭、學員及社群成員的交流，看見了一個值得投入的新方向。

慧智文教基金會目前正在籌備一項全新的培訓內容，專為曾經參與慧智計畫的學員、隊輔、TA 及各項活動參與者設計。這項新計畫將延續我們對青年領導力、文化連結與社群參與的重視，並為已經走進 WCEO 社群的成員提供更深入的學習與成長機會。

The CYLA 2026 leadership conference is open to students in grades 8 through 12 in the San Francisco Bay Area. CYLA is an intensive three-day training designed for young people who are ready to grow into leaders. Not just within their community, but in the world. Through cultural inquiry, teamwork, and real challenges, participants develop the depth and confidence to navigate a complex, interconnected society.

Participants of CYLA 2026 will be eligible to join GO-YCA, a year-long leadership and community service program in the Bay Area, during the following school year.

Registration opens April 1, 2026. Spaces are limited.

*The GO-YCA year-long program is the year-long leadership program that follows CYLA. From August through May of the following year, members participate in approximately 12 project-based sessions led by an advisor team, totaling 48 hours of action-oriented leadership training, cultural exploration, and community building. As shown above, the full-year fee is $400, which works out to less than $9 per hour. But what we care about more is this: growing up was never meant to be done alone, and here, people understand the path you are on.

*GO-YCA 為 CYLA 訓練後的青年領航計劃：從當年度八月至隔年五月，學員可參與約 12 次專案，由導師團隊帶領合計 48 小時的行動方案導向培訓、文化探索與社群連結。如上表所述，GO-YCA 全年費用為 $400，在這個看重轉換率和效益的時代，平均每小時不到 $9。但我們更在乎的是，成長從來不是一個人的事，這裡有人懂你在走的路。
